Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

Doing the minimum required

I doubt that anyone tries to do more than the bare minimum required, given that it is not valued at all here. Or perhaps there are still some naive people who give much more of themselves than the company gives them in return?

A shout out to all the hard working people, union and management, that push forward every day despite the ineptitude of Hans and his leadership team and the toxic RIF culture.

I do more than required because i want to. I enjoy what i do. Even still i have boundaries. Vz wins and im sharpening my skills for the next opportunity be it for the company or putting up my shingle.

@kac+1iHyMo5Q

First off, you’re a malcontent jerk who wrongly takes every opportunity to take cheap pop-shots at one of the only groups that’s currently keeping this company afloat.

Secondly, it’s not the union people who btw, are correctly referred to as unionists, who have disengaged.

It’s management that’s quietly quitting, passing the buck to get whatever off their desk that they can, and finger-pointing when things go down hill.

This is a leadership debacle, not one coming from the union.

Deflect your failures all you want .

We have always been an easy target to make up for your inadequacy.

Have at it.

Minimum required = doing the job you are paid for.

Do we give customers more service than they pay for out of the goodness of our heart?

Why should employees do more without just compensation? It is business and the company has already shown in the last layoff that loyalty and constantly going the extra mile gets you nowhere.
