Thread regarding Ford layoffs

Farley doesn’t care about your job elimination…

While they were deciding which employees to terminate, Farley and members of his executive team met with reporters between dealer meetings at The Bellagio in Las Vegas, immediately after breaking bad news to many of its 2,992 Ford dealers in the U.S.

All expenses paid. The cost of that trip could have saved an engineering job.

These comments naild it. "That is business... Ford does not exist to provide you a lifelong job... They need to cut way more if they want to be around. I'd say another 10K salaried is what is needed on top of the 8K announced "
We knew that it was coming, no excuses for not being prepared with options.
Indeed, Ford Mgmt. have lost credibility but in the end they pay for a service and we deliver it.
It is sad indeed, but it is business nothing personal. At formerly know TDE, everybody was top notch at their position, those who were let go were not indispensable, in many cases those were LL6 with more than 20 yrs in that position they milked the company, it was time for them to leave that place open.
At TDE roughly 80 people were cut, more less 20 LL6's many of them if not all of them were bullsh-ters that found they way switching positions. In the end the GSR's did all the work. No cries for those LL6's SIRP'ed
No LL6 is indispensable, many of them can be SIRP and the company won't miss them. In fact there are many more LL6 that can be SIRP, they just fill their calendar w/meetings they do not need to attend , they just do it to "stay" relevant.

Ford sent a clear signal, I better take care of my career either inside Ford or looking for options outside in case I am the next SIRP'ed. No hard feelings, they pay me and I deliver, My mentor is long time gone so I know that I have to fend by myself.

If bloggers are upset with Ford mgmt. or why the go fwd with electrification, or SIRP people, it is legit, complaining is an American Hobby. But instead of souring your life, wake up and look for ways to protect your career, do NETWORKING, etc. Or develop another skill that is relevant for employment.

Bill Ford won't go away, and Ford will continue. For those who complain here you all need to be grounded. Visit F150 A-s'y plant or a Transmission Plant, there are a lot of infrastructure that makes Ford a solid company. The same goes with all other OEM's.
Formerly know Chrysler as been resuscitated many times and now Ford uses it as benchmark for ICE sales. Ford is not in a bad position as Chrysler ever was.

Bill is the Whimp behind all this mess, Farley is his Pool Boy. And upper mgmt has been always a Peyton Place, when Hank II was in charge Ford was a big mess, today Ford financials are much better than when Hank II was running the show.

If you can to continue complaining, it is your right to do it, But at least be honest and take your soul away from the issue and look in the past so you do not get caught into cr-p that you cannot change but it can be taken as a wake up call

Now Farley will make a big push to stop wfh and get everyone back to the office. It better than Nissan, where they even expect the CEO to work from a box (WFB) with an air ho-e.

Bring back the tweets and the jobs will also return.

Post ID: @1hhi+1iINbDXA: Sorry your feel that way, but I am liking the Koolaid. Just look at the new product line. And, I think Farley and team have it right... Keeping Ford relevant. Maybe you sniffing all that exhaust has made you bitter against the Blue Oval. I say let's embrace the future and cheer the course they are taking. Short selling ... Lol. You will have zero impact. Enjoy your gas guzzling Grand Marquis into your future! You are either on the team or not!

ID: @wuu+1iINbDXA you POS. Keep drinking the 'KOOL AID'. Farley is no leader. Nobody likes the guy; he cannot be trusted. I left last year. Fraley and Billy talk about family. well, you spouses are divorcing you. Let you run what's left of the oval right into the ground. I will make money shorting your stock. and laugh to the bank. For those leaving take the lump sum do not leave Farley anything. He has lost the trust of this company a long time ago. Billy you have no credibility either.

The company is willing to layoff talented people just to protect the stupid friends and family folks. Too many examples in the recent layoffs. With this kind of business there is no future to this company.
