Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

How many benefits did we lose in the last decade?

I've lost count. They keep pushing to see how far we'll let them take things and we just keep rolling over. We don't deserve better, to be honest. For as long as we continue to be nice, loyal lapdogs, we deserve everything that T leadership throws our way, and then some.

Still well paid. Still getting medical coverage. Still getting lots of vacation time.

If you are unhappy with t's current benefits, then you should look for a job at another company. If you are unable to do that then either t's benefits are comparable or better than most other companies or you are not an appealing employee to other companies.

October 18 to November 12th is annual enrollment HR said. They said it will be very different from years past and there will webcasts to explain it. We never get better benefits but I am sure HR will try to sell it as better for us

yeah got a point that the 75 rule didn't even mean anything.

the pension modeling in fidelity really didn't increase if I stayed there and I am so glad I don't have my pension in att's hand. it has made me a lot more money than if they kept it.

Benefits?
There are none as the Boneheads took them all away.
This company is merely a paycheck.

C W A is the biggest lapdog to AT&T. How do we fight C W A? Stop paying dues or ask for partial refund every year.

Nobody is buying T. It’s a joke to even think that. Investors are telling us what the value is of the company through its depressed stock price. Anyone wanting to buy will continue to watch the stock get depleted and then consider it. More than likely it would be an investment bank, not Amazon, Apple, Microsoft, Facebook or Tesla.

Doesn't matter. Some billionaire will buy t for the fiber, internet & cell service & merge it with either his Tesla or Amazon business - fire the golden parachute holders & replace with real management. Then Bezos or Musk will find real occupational employees with the skills & knowledge and then stream with a new in house service along with a real content movie company. The 13% ers WoK JA's will be fired, Anglo employees will have their self worth restored and this company will now start to be successful.
