I kept hearing on here that layoffs would be announced on 9/15. Anyone have an update?

We had 4 Temp FT's let go from the Fiber Build Out in Construction.
The lack of layoffs speaks volumes! T expects its 3rd quarter results to be stellar, therefore, the finance dept. feels layoffs at this time aren’t necessary! That would be my guess! The stock price is in the toilet, but who cares as long as T keeps meeting its quarterly expectations. If T falls short in Q3, that’s a whole different scenario!
No layoffs No problem. What happened with return to office and layoff threat to all who don’t return?
No layoffs in craft. I guess T needs those stupid Union Dregs to continue the business. T will probably shed some non bargained "managers". No loss.
Make us an offer. I’m sure there will be some takers.
9/15 was the surplus announcement date for represented employees. Except for 1 person in the SE (BellSouth) and a few voluntary offers, I haven’t seen any updates for the other districts (PAC Bell, SBC and Ameritech).
I’m hearing reorg and some upper level retirement announcements next week. Does that include layoffs, I’m not sure. But at a minimum there will be changes beginning next week.
YAY !! No news is good news for the 4th quarter !!
No layoffs, period. There will be a mass exodus due to pension lump sum that will take a hit come January 2023.
If you have not looked into this, do so ASAP.
Ya fell for the trick
Legacy T - 8 VTP offers. Not seeing any surplus declaration.
One person in SE. I think it is highly likely that it will be resolved through a retirement or transfer.
Anything announced on this site is not credible. It’s a bunch of anonymous people slinging bs
9/1, 9/5, 9/15 ... just another BS announced here.
It is 9/16 already and crickets. Nothing is happening. SS duo disappointed us.
