Thread regarding Ford layoffs

Still no transparency

You'd think that after the mess that surrounded the latest layoffs, the management would be a bit more open about what's going on and what we can expect in the future. But that's not the case. I guess hoping they might have learned something from the whole experience was too much to hope for.

They would have to admit they weren't transparent first in order to not do it again. Egos will not admit anything.

JF & his senior team lost the trust of the troops back in February when they rolled out the bonus numbers. You were able to see what he really thinks and feels about the people working for him. Jim i hope you are reading this. KARMA Has away to come back and haunt you.
Truth is JF You are not a PRODUCT GUY. I saw your post about launching a Toyota Luxury brand in the early 90s. Yeah. you were more like a glorified "GOPHER".. Running copies and making sure your bosses cup of coffee was fresh and full.
NOBODY BELEIVES YOU JIM. Get over it. you showed your cards during that interview the same week as the bonus. Try telling the truth. Like the 8k number first. His management team may not cut more people, but they already expect at least 2k to leave this year because of interest rates.
FYI. To anyone under the pension plan reading this. When was the last time you ever saw a company email about the impact of interest rates? Two reasons for that. One because they did not want sued by not telling the employee up front. Two to save the company from having to payout packages. My guess the POS did it to save money. Why because he was quoted as saying so to his management team. Thats WHY.
Watch out for a pension freeze for those left over.

Why are you stressing out yourself? If you don’t like just leave. You are scared to leave because you don’t have the right skills.

Farley said in town hall that the layoffs are done. He was sincere. What more do you want?

Don’t jump ship. It’s what they want. Stay there, do the minimum and grind that place to bankruptcy. Remember behind all of this is the Ford family with their strong left wing beliefs. They hide behind their CEOs.

Holding period right now.

Purposefully undershot target reduction numbers in hopes that it would motivate natural attrition afterward to further reduce headcount without costing severance.

No way. JF totally fears Doug Field. How often have you seen them two together? They are in competition for the top spot at Ford. And Doug will be the winner.

You know I'm right.
