The $1B did not trickle down to me.

  • Salary raise is 0.5% more than last year's salary raise
  • IPF increased by 0.1.
  • RSUs increased by 2.5k (per year).

I have a bad feeling on one hand. On the other, because of the 1B I do expect to get something above a 1.2 IPF (i.e. 1.1 plus big RSU / modest raise would be good too)

Here is the 15% guy again: I'm expecting 15%. Cisco rarely meets my expectations ... so yeah.

Expecting 15%? Unless you’re in a “tier 3” country and in MRR zone 1 and you’re a high performer, you’re going to be disappointed.

In the past, a typical salary increase was somewhat above inflation. The inflation rate for 2022 is (as of now) 8.3%. So, I'm expecting a 10% salary increase.

Actually, last year's salary raise was, for most of us, below inflation. So, I'm expecting to cover that as well. Overall, I expect a salary raise of around 15%. Everything else would be disappointing.

The company did away with performance reviews years ago. Best to not set expectations and be grateful for what you get.

My mgr said that he feels that everyone on the team will be happy with their focal rewards. We're not getting $50K pay increases, but we should be happy with what we do get. He's been w/ Cisco for 25 yrs, so comparing this year's increases against the trend over the last 5-10 yrs, it should be better than prior yrs. Is it good enough? We'll have to wait and see.

I'm curious to see what mine will be, this first year under this manager. I've never received pay increases from Cisco before. The years I've been eligible for bonuses, I've always had above average IPFs and received better than the standard 1.0/100% IPF even on the year I got LR'd. My only pay increases have come from leaving Cisco and returning or from leaving my team and switching to a new internal role opening within Cisco. Then, the next couple of yrs I get the excuse of "Well, you just joined and I have to use my budget to bring up those team members who've been on the team for a while up to the team average."

I'm betting on a positive IPF instead of a pay increase. Most likely, my IPF increase will result in my getting the same bonus I'd have gotten if the company performance factor was 100% and I had a 100% IPF and they'll call that "a great bonus". Anything more or less will be a big shock.

Performance review?! What performance review? Cisco does not do any performance reviews. You are a hostage of your manager’s delusion and any raise/RSU is a metric of your capacity to shamelessly ki$$ your management’s bu+t.

They only have $1 billion for the entire employee base. It’s not going to be much.

That is not true. They spend $1 billion on top of what they typically spend. Well, at the same time, they also save a lot of money through the CPF of 0.84.

There is so little transparency about this cycle's raises and promotions that I gave up trying to connect all the pieces of information. Wait and see. In a few days, we will know more.

Not sure . I thin managers will be scheduleding 1:1s to discuss the IPFs and RSU/salaryincrements(if any) this week or nex week.
Hopefully we have good budget to compensate for attrition
