Thread regarding Bank of New York Mellon Corp. layoffs

Our benefits lack greatly compared to peer companies

BofA gave cost of living increases to everyone making under 100k in June.

They are rolling out a sabbatical program allowing employees at 15, 20, 25, 30, 35 and 40 year milestones to take a sabbatical of 5 weeks + (duration depending upon seniority) two times in their career. This is in addition to their vacation and holidays.

BNYM - nothing. Mandatory in office 3 days a week. Great job Vince!

Sad, our salary and benefits are poor in comparison to peers.

The difference is that BofA has a viable business model. We are a sleepy transaction processor without a strategy and we haven’t even entertained an idea for growth since 2007.

Regarding two weeks work from anywhere, it’s hardly so. Look up the requirements on MySource…

Similar to when every other company was giving their employees a pandemic bonus and BNY Mellon decided to keep the money for the executives

We are essentially gum on the bottom of their shoes. Simply an annoyance & an expense ….
They do a lot of talking about how important we are and provide very inexpensive worthless “benefits “but the benefits we want, they won’t provide
