Several years ago, i attended a monthly staff meeting as a first level. 10 first levels and our director at the time. Our director was mean, he directed one of the first levels out into the hall. The director followed him out into the hall. The director verbally as----ted the first level, even daring him to swing at him. What an as----e. Never felt the same after that. I still to this day am not sure why the director picked on this first level that day. Have you ever seen anything like this? I guess it's management by intimidation.

Some guy grabbed my junk in the bathroom. S3xual violence.
Quote: I saw where a director watched one of his direct reports fall to the ground and need to be taken out by ambulance for a heart issue as he screamed and yelled at her repeatedly. That was awful. Guy still kept his job.
Initials “J.P’ from the Albany/Schenectady Ny area?
There are lots of L3's that need violence done to them.
My A.M. directed me to beat the stuffing out of one of my Techs and told me that he would give me 2 weeks off WITH PAY.
physical violence, intimidation, psychological abuse. the culture is dysfunctional.
Back in the day of BellSouth Mobility there was a guy who was missing all or a portion of one arm. I cannot recall the details but another person attacked him in the office. I think both may have been contractors.
It seems the common theme is managers that are less than professional. These managers have been given free reign to act like viscious animals with no accountability. I regret not having reported this when I witnessed it. I feared for losing my job, as did every one else. T needs to get rid of managers that have never learned how to act properly in a business setting.
When I was in St. Louis, I witnessed an Area Manager lose his temper in a conference room while on a call. He started tossing chairs all over the room. Fortunately, no one else was in there.
I saw a social posting where a L3 manger went so far to threaten g-n violence, but the threat was ignored when reported to HR!
At town hall with a VP he thought it was funny to cover his direct reports heads with shaving cream & then soak them with a water g-n. He humiliated them on a stage in front of hundreds of people.
First level told us and practiced daily, he could speak to us in any manner, using any words he chooses because we will either stay and take it or quit.

I saw that once in grade school and the big 7th grade student took the swing and decked the teacher...totally infuriated, he had the student suspended for doing what he was coaxed into doing. Ballsy move on the student’s part! I think I would have laid that a-ho-e director out without hesitation! Total POS!
I have been here 25 years, mostly all management and have seen quite a few instances where emotions ran high and things were tense. Never saw violence threatened or encouraged though. If a guy got in my face yelling and swearing at me and telling me to take a swing, I’m taking a swing though.
Didn’t witness violence but 30 years ago when I first interviewed at AT&T the technical interviewer told me he could kick me in the head because he had a brown belt.
I’ve seen violins in the work place before.
