EM employees keep applying for jobs there. It’s not because a merger is in the works.
Friendly advice: if you dislike Coke, switching to Pepsi isn’t going to make much of a difference. They’re both bad for you and they taste about the same.

@6xyb How is it better? I see/hear the same complaints from both, and both companies are full of vociferous reactionaries.
No dude. Chevron culture is way better than Exxon. It's not google, but compared with Exxon, is a breath of fresh air.
I'm a current EM employee with wife working for Chevron.
All the trolls on here trying to convince the lemmings it’s about “riding out the next downturn” - that’s ridiculous. It’s about fleeing a toxic work environment. It’s about the lack of teamwork stemming from the annual employment contracts we are all operating under now. It’s about a performance assessment system that has been we-ponized to cull the herd based upon attitude and lack of compliance rather than actual performance. Open your eyes and free your brains. Find a place that will truly value your individuality and creativity and compensate you accordingly instead of the trickle-down table scraps they feed to the rest of the lemmings.
I hate Pepsi.
@sog Don’t you ever get tired of “riding out” these downturns that are actually a major part of the industry business model?
And when was the supposed upturn? There’s been a bounce here and there, but the industry has been flat since 2015.
@akn, in that case it depends heavily on your affinity for do~~~~~o. If you like it, or don’t mind it then you should stick with Coke. If don’t like it then maybe you should try a Pepsi, or perhaps a ginger ale.
Well, oil is down almost to $80. So you all should probably be considering whether you want to ride out this next downturn with a Coke or a Pepsi. The severance payout from 3 years of service with Pepsi will probably be equal to 10 years of service with Coke.
Or maybe just do yourself a favor and get the heck out of oil and gas.
Pepsi offers better severance. Also, no layoffs disguised as something else to avoid paying severance.
Except that Pepsi tell you face to face that you are going to be layoff. No try to use that bullcr@p NSI, PIP, etc., etc.
Except the hyper aggressive outsourcing
