Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

What happened to Chris Donan?

Does anyone know what happened to Chris Donan? His sudden intention to leave seems unusual. Especially as he had been with the company for 18+ years and super well respected in National Business Mid-Markets.
Also, the organization announcement emails that were sent out today about his leaving seemed really strange.

I heard he clashes with the new management? They have rolled out a mew business model that is in the process of failing spectacularly. I think the new guard is out of touch with how the business works.

Chris had multiple offers on the table and was smart to see that AT&T was a sinking ship. Why stick around when you are on top. He is young and needed to make a move to grow. Nothing is forever..

He was forced out. Caught in his own web making little guys take the fall for cooking the books that he ordained.

Shame if he was forced out … to all the changes about to be unveiled over the next 48 hours. Good talent lost unfortunately

You people and your executive worship is disturbing.
"Team" "Partner"
18 years is still new.
Man up.
Go watch the Queens funeral or the Kardashians.
Pathetic.

His nose turned brown, it was determined the root cause was that he was looking for love in all the wrong places.

We had interactions with Chris when we were working on a new system. His team members were our business partners. He listened well to those who had system/process knowledge regardless of their level and he didn't mind hearing what wouldn't work if it made sense. He was also very approachable which was really rare at his level.

He probably got an offer elsewhere. Smart guy. Knew the business and the systems inside and out. He scheduled calls for his last day on short notice of only a day or 2, out of the norm, with a big group of his team. Seems like he might have known he was leaving. People in National business are a bit shocked over this departure.
