Thread regarding JPMorgan Chase & Co. layoffs

What’s the Pattern?

The first round seemed to be lower performance based and people on write ups.. but what stats did they use this time, if any? Seems like some higher performing people were let go this round.
At this point is it just randomized?

As one of the impacted this round, I didn’t even ask why. Does it really matter? Will it change anything knowing the reason? My team was still very busy (I was the Supervisor). I was the only one on the team to be impacted. Neither me or my team are slackers in terms of work. I just accept that it is what it is and move on. I’ve been laid off from other companies and it doesn’t make sense. I just keep it moving…on to the next opportunity. Retirement is getting closer!

I was part of the first round lay offs and also read the section stating report to work or your severance will be reduced in the severance letter. I reached out to HR and a ticket was open. They clarified that “you are on call” therefore your severance will not be reduced after the notice period. Mine was not reduced and I did not work during the notice period under my manager’s direction.

My recommendation: quiet quitting. You’re still getting your job done so you don’t get fired at the moment but you’re not at a loss if you’re chose to let go since you’re not going above and beyond, sacrificing your personal time that you will never get back just for an employer that don’t a flying f about you

Of course there is a pattern. First to go are the trouble makers. Those who don't agree that every initiative is amazing. Those who have the nerve to bring new ideas to the table. Don't want to conform then see ya~! Next up those who are too flamboyant in their a-s kissing. Yes we want you to suck up but don't make it too obvious we have standards. And third those who know too much. OK you say Shirley in Finance leaving my office after doing the dirty. Sorry I know you know so you gotta go.

They don’t care how good of employee you are for them we are just a number. So remember work with your on means don’t try to be look with the higher up. Feel we just disposable . Good luck and for what I can see this is not over. If you want to keep your job move to Manila
