Thread regarding Sam's Club layoffs

Walmart hiring “Seasonal” employees

So apparently Walmart is well staffed and we will only need to hire “seasonal” help. I call bullsh-t. It only means that they will continue to overload the understaffed workers that still exist. Wtf Walmart, how stupid do you think people are?

Yup. Club is understaffed but we have a "backbone" of 3 or 4 solid performers that struggle to hold it together. We have to choose the lesser of two evils to finish every morning and evening to avoid the stink eye depending on what manager comes in for the shift. Newbies are helpful, but they cost time to train. Positive outlook is any newbie that stays past 3 months, but it hasn't happened for a long time. At the end of the day members get the short stick because of overhead demands by corporate needing pictures while 2 or three trucks sit outside. Hurting ourselves by moving complete non-seasonal categories around to squeeze in another 3 or 4 products that have no space on Ask Sam. Every club is different and our walls are bulging with merch. Criticism and "Suggestions" are welcome by managers and above, but they should just try to help us understand just how to do what they expect in these times to see just what they are asking for. Yup, somehow business is still happening but the employees bearing the blunt of all the past years had better not be getting paid the same as a newbie. Return the pay scale plus vacation time to attract serious employees now. No layoffs that I can see here. Just poor applicants most of the time, or they don't last.
