Do you think Nile is a real threat on Cisco?

There is nothing special about their technology. It is rather sad to see how geriatric ex-Cisco management is talking about how "cool" and "disruptive" their tech is. Pure BS. It is another sweatshop with typical Cisco micro-management and toxic culture on steroids in this yet another "rent-a-hardware" type of business. Chief architect is gone, other key people (non-Cisco) are gone. This should say volumes.
Honestly, it's hard to be Bullish on any hardware vendor right now.
Maybe they got some good ideas but if your can't ship product, who cares?
I wonder if all their new code will still be Copyright (c) 2003 🤑
think about it. How can Cisco as a leader in IP networking, lose a trillion dollar cloud business to a book selling company (AMZN), a Windows company (MSFT) and a search engine company (GCP).
I will give you the answer. The MPLS thieves (Mario, Luca, Prem, Soni) made sure they bashed any threatening technology that would disrupt their spinout/spinback in business which made them filthy rich at the expense of 70,000 employees. They used their influence to ki-l any cloud business that Cisco could market, and for that you can thank JC
oh yes, Pankaj and Chambers ..... the 2 who clueless leaders who made sure Amazon (AWS), MSFT (Azure) and Google (GCP) take over the cloud business from a NETWORKING company. Yeah, I'm that duo will do great
Anyone who thinks it's not is in de-nile.
See what I did there?
Nah… very few want managed service for only switching and wireless. Limited selection of form factors will limit applicable markets. And the business model of charge by usage limits market appeal as well.
NaaS is a real thing, but this is a pretty poor offer.
