Thread regarding ExxonMobil Corp. layoffs

Community seating

Is this concept being rolled out Campus wide? If so how are they dealing with special monitors, seats etc. I guess ergo isn't important any more.

Excess number of desks on Campus.

Execs choose to hot desk employees to save money.

Execs paid millions per month.

Isn’t it ironic

@1ddm Tell it to your boomer boss who wants everyone back at the office because he thinks it’ll make the 1980s happen again.

If you happen to be one of these people with a raging hard-on for being in the office don’t complain; you’re getting your wish. Now everyone gets to sit together and “collaborate”.

Open office concept was a stupid idea and hot desking is even stupider. You get nothing done because there is no privacy. Not to mention the germs and ergonomics aspects. For others, it’s just one more humiliation.

@OP Well, all you boomers and early GenXers are the ones wanted everyone the office. Request granted. Now eat it.

Oh, you thought you’d all have nice corner offices with polished mahogany desks while the “younger” employees got to hot-desk everyday? Haha think again.

So, my old stale farts have to mix into the old stale farts deposited by others into my seat cushion? The boogers under the desk are not my own? Kind of like public transportation. Yuck.

They won't dare put out a survey at the Houston Campus to find out how employees really feel!! Their slide presentation on the Activity Based Seating documented age groups and their preferences. Where is the data and survey supporting this presentation? I thought identifying age demographics was a no-no (toning it down)?
