Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

Layoffs are not done

Do we have any idea when the culling will continue?

The rif has always been the end of November and off the books by December 31st.
2021 was an anomaly and the rif was end of October and off the books by end of December so employees has 8 weeks to look for another position internally instead of the previous 4 weeks. Vz is very generous with severance packages.
Is October rif confirmed or will it be in November or no one knows yet?

End of October is a sure thing. Why? Because it is the last chance to get people off the books by the end of the year with 60 days notice. Verlieson does this every year.

Generally the cuts come right before a holiday. Tis’ the season for giving…large numbers of people the nod towards the door.

It's a pay week, so you're not safe this week. Next week isn't, so you'll be safe then. Repeat that cycle until the RIF finally arrives.

Mostly, it'd be nice to know if this week is safe.
