Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

I'm confused by all the Intel hate

I'm new (started a year ago) but I like my job and Intel has been nothing but a good employer to me so far. I'm worried about layoffs just as everybody else is, but that's the extent of my displeasure with my job. Where is all this Intel hate coming from? What am I missing here?

You're either a "carpet dweller" or have never actually been tied to anything around silicon. We had a saying years ago, "if you touch silicon, you're safe." The downside was living in manufacturing he-l.

There are lots of confused Intel employees.
All the high IQ ones already left.

I’m not Indian, but “work” in a group with majority of members are Indians. I’m suffering. But I don’t hate Intel. I hope all the best for Intel.

Dude, if you're enjoying your job and you're learning, good for you, carry on!

Haters gonna hate, man!

I am interested as to what you're doing on this site though?

Yes, just work at Intel for 2+ years and you will realize the cess-pool it is. This is mainly due to toxic managers all over the place.

Also "hunger-games" like behavior from most employees who have been working there for 10+ years, they obviously have survived and gamed their employment. There are some good people around but they are typically not in management.

Anyone else want to add?

One year should be more than enough for a smart person to figure that out..
