Thread regarding ExxonMobil Corp. layoffs

Lack of integrity with DH

DHs engage in questionable practices of manipulating assignments so senior technical people in their rank group does not get visibility for their ideas or work. In several instances, the work was re-assigned to their favorites, usually a lower level compliant individual who have nothing to do with the original idea or work. In one instance, the individual got a new assignment as “advisor” in an area she has no expertise in. In the meantime, the experts in the field who can make significant contributions was never brought to the attention of senior management. Toxic! People scamming their way into a role instead promoting the best and most qualified. No wonder this is a sinking ship.

I’m not sure which site the OP references but I have seen this in Baton Rouge as recent as last week. Happens all the time.

DH and supervisors actively control exposure and facetime of their people to senior management often favoring their favorites vs the people who really do the work. It is unfortunate but true in many cases.
