Thread regarding Bank of America layoffs

People say "act your wage"

I mean, it's easy to tell someone act your wage and don't do work for three people. In practice, it is not so simple. I once made a mistake when I showed that I could do more work and since then I have been constantly getting more to do. I think it would be chaos if I suddenly stopped putting in so much effort now. On the other hand, I can't even imagine how my manager would react to the quiet quitting that everyone is talking about. He simply does not want any excuses, he wants everything done by deadline.

Should I act my H1B or my quick replacement counterpart overseas wage?
Or Income should equal my 20+ years of tech experience, with no cost of living increase for 5 years due to nepotism, racism, ageism, Corp politics, Quiet Quitting, Laying flat, Let it Rot until Social security is no more WAGE? Nope. Not investing my life, time and energy on things and people that don't help me grow. When you start giving a SH**, its time to move on. Life is to short.

I always kept my desk stacked with files and papers and looked busy. I did this for 20 years as an administrative assistant. No one ever bothered me. I did the bare minimum and clocked out at 5pm every day. I’m retired now. Life is good.
