EMIT’s leadership class are flying around the world. We are too broke to hire enough workers but we can afford conference junkets to Europe and paid vacations to the GBCs for these hotshots.

@1smw+1iZujZK1 I think that's the point:what is the prize that's so valuable now that they need to be jet setting everywhere??? And how come I can manage perfectly adequately as an IC in VIRTUAL TEAMS using zoom?
They just sent a ‘select few’ global folks in to Houston for two weeks for some planning field trip. Prob planning to ki-l off rest of EMIT. Heard two or three of them already resigned, too. Great use of money.
Cry me a river. L2 leaders of every organization in the company fly to see their larger global orgs. Most EMIT L2 haven’t travelled in 2+ years. Controllers, HR, and other services company leadership are also traveling.
Very true. I've not had any training for 3 years, but supervision and management can long haul over the globe as often as they wish.
All LT are a bunch of hypocrites flying around the world and workers can't get approval to travel for professional development, etc.
I agree, how blatent and out of touch these 'leaders' are is unbelievable.
There will always be some (crazy) justification why the EMIT LT travels. What's shocking is how public they are making it (LI, Yammer, etc.). It's like a slap in the face to those affected over the past 2-3 years....
Really agree, see all these Managers and VPs all flying long haul here, there and everywhere. Amazing how quickly the last 2 years are forgotten.
No money for travel even when it is necessary. Yet you see it all the time, guess it depends on who you are.
