Now that we are working remotely, how will a Ford employee get notified that they are cut? Will they be contacting by their supervisor or HR?

Yes it was " something good trust me" I was let go in 2008 from F-O-R-D

I was let go this past April; in my case the L4 scheduled a 10 minute meeting - when outside of large group meetings that he used to have, never so much as heard one word from him….so yeah, I knew something no good was up. My L6 was clueless…
The cowards will set up a webex meeting through somebody above the chain so that the ll"s name doesnt get tarnished and the ll"s will act as if they werent aware .Thats what i heard.
They let 15 people go in a group meeting!? Now that’s cold. If you’re a manager without empathy and also a coward I suppose one meeting would be an “effective” use of your valuable time and would eliminate the concern about uncomfortable one-on-one conversations.
I had a meeting scheduled for the next day. 15 of us were in the meeting and all of us were let go.
I used to think that the Lions football franchise was run like Ford Motor Co. Deadlines pushed back, late data deliveries, meeting topics being tabled for the next week, etc. Never seemed too much concern amongst some of the players.
The FSS seemed to take the reins eventually, track down missing data and push the design through.
Now I think Ford Motor Co. is being run like the Lions. Just keep turning over people at the top until something works.
I think Bill Ford gets a little bamboozled through his attempts of finding the right person for the job?
Jim Farley is just another Dan Campbell (or any other Lion's coach) in my opinion. I'm waiting for the scripted responses from JF that will likely follow upcoming events.
BTW, I worked at Ford for 15 years. After the March 2022 dog and pony show, I decided to submit my resignation. I figured there were things going to happen and it was my time to fly.
I enjoyed my tenure there though. I just didn't feel I could keep the passion any longer.

In April I was contacted by my supervisor's boss. Same with the other people in my department that got let go. I got a video call appointment at like 10:30 PM the night before for 8 am the next day. I was allowed to work 2 more days or stop immediately. Was given a certain amount of time to drop off all the Ford cr-p I had. You drop your laptop at the depot where they are picked up now. That place sucks don't be worried about being let go its relieving. Run by mo--ns that can't get out of their own way.
