Thread regarding Ford layoffs

VPSE Org Chart

They did a reorg in VSPE today and there are 3 or 4 LLs who are possibly retiring this fall. Possibly more once the floodgates open up.

These LLs are supported by some very good engineers and once they jump ship the LLs jobs will be a living he-l. Nothing like having a LL4 tell you and your team y'all don't know how to do your jobs...Cause that LL used to do your job when the strategy book was something you could print out.

When all the smoke clears it will be interesting who is holding the sheet bag.

Not Hau for sure... He had this look today like ....see ya suckers....

There are too many chiefs protecting their turf. The way we do PD has to evolve away from program specific teams. Complexity drives a lot of specific engineering projects that are not common across all products. A strong leader will put a stop to these gotta have it folks who make decisions based on marketing hopes that shiny and new sells vehicles. Long term quality takes disciplined engineering that is evolved.

With the speedy rotation in LL4+ level, you don't need to have any concern that a LL4 used to do you job. They did not.
