Thread regarding ExxonMobil Corp. layoffs

We are EM survey

Now the results are out on the We are eM survey; what are peoples thoughts? I still really find the results difficult to understand given the current morale

They ignore the most critical piece of information from the survey. 50% completed it. So half the employees don’t give a flying fu-k about the company culture vision or future. The first thing should have done? Engage the people who didn’t reply. It’s so easy to learn. But it’s a check the box mentality. Don’t care about the results just want a few stats to include in the next board meeting.

I received the briefing for my group. Basically nothing actionable in any way. Certainly, nothing in the results that accurately describes the actual morale of the workforce.

If I had submitted those survey questions for my college Market Research class I would have received an F.

Lowly supervisors and managers are so pathetic. I bet their head and neck hurts from all the bobbing and yes nodding.

The questions were terrible. Questions obviously written deliberately to give a predetermined message to Dallas. Pathetic.

We've seen or heard nothing in our section about this. Nothing in our future calendars also.

I think I heard that it went to MC for the first review which leads me to believe we got the messages version versus raw data.

Would love to see written comments.

About half of my team have resigned since the survey. You do the math!

A corporate survey initiated by top management is the equivalent of a generic "task force" put together by a government entity to "study" a problem and produce a report of findings and recommendations. In other words, its a management stall tactic intended to temporarily pacify the masses because it makes them look proactive and caring. No one ever believes the anonymity of a survey and the results always seem watered down when compared to reality.

The response to the survey was around 40%. And, honestly, most people just lied or didn't care.

That survey was stupid. In no way does it give any insight as to why morale is so low. This just means they didn’t want to know or that they already understand why but aren’t going to do anything about it and don’t care what you think.

I have no thoughts. I am labeled NSI. Don't ask me anything or talk to me. Thank you
