Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

Fewer layoffs

There haven't been as many layoffs lately as I'm used to hearing about at Honeyhell. What gives?

They've reached the point where there are more people beating the drums than people pulling on oars.

DA channeling Kamala… dead on.
Belly laugh was completely a tell.

There will be raises for lower band employees at mid year. Too little too late as usual. That salary will come out of domestic census as the push to offshore returns.

Yea, DA laughing like that reminded me of Kamala. They don't like the question so they laugh as a way to belittle the asker of the question. Simply more evidence that DA doesn't have any respect for his employees and that Hwell is to be avoided at all costs.

You mean the townhall where DA belly laughed at the thought of increasing our pay due to the high rate of inflation? That should push all of us to reconsider our positions here.

No reason for RIFs. The flow of people going out of the door is at extreme levels right now. Which is bad for those left behind. Many hundreds of years experience is walking out. Especially after the silly talk that Dairya$$ gave yesterday.

No need for layoffs because everything is just peachy at Honeywell. (Sarcasm)

My guess would be the high attrition rate has removed the need for RIF's in many areas. Also, when people voluntarily leave, Honeywell doesn't have to give severance pay.

With sufficiently bad morale , retirements and other voluntary actions are more than enough to keep the average hourly rate dropping.

I am careful with words here.. the ONLY thing that matters to corporate is hourly rate. They don’t care about individual people .. only how much people are paid per unit of work.

Rest assured that any inflation adjustment to salary will be offset by census adjustment and work shift between regions. The average rate will be held constant.

Have they replaced layoffs with PIPs to save on severance?
