Thread regarding ExxonMobil Corp. layoffs

Four laws that define EM

I am reading a multitude of posts where people are either complaining or trying to understand the injustice related employee ranking, assignment, management behavior, decisions, etc. that they are subjected to at ExxonMobil. My question to you fellas is why are you using your rational brains and arguments to understand a place seeping with irrational and perpetually baseline toxic workplace?

Instead, here I try to define the corporation in four simple laws under which you can explain every observable phenomenon:

Rule#1: "Everyone's singular goal is to get as far ahead (promotion and salary) as possible!" every year through the performance assessment process. It is hunger games, No one cares about the real value to the company or by the company!
Rule#2: "Management across the board has zero leadership potential" - Results in extremely poor decisions, yet when it comes to immoral people, they turn it around as success.
Rule#3: "All employees quickly become yes men/women to wrong ideas and start to sing praises for the poor upper management solely due to management pressure to appease" - results in your colleagues producing zero to negative work value and yet moving forward within ExxonMobil ladder.
Rule#4: "All the above ends up creating a workplace culture full of toxic behaviors - which you all have had for a while" - yet no one would care because of the singular objective mention in Rule #1 above.

These four laws govern everything from greed to lying and deceiving in this company.

You forgot the most important rule of all. I should have been ranked outstanding with distinction. I know it is a forced ranking so to do this you should have NSI’s my coworker not me. You got it wrong, but if you assess me high and everyone else low then the system is great. In the past my old supervisor ranked me OWD and he was a great supervisor. This new supervisor who didn’t rank me OWD is [insert insults].
