Has anyone heard what will happen to SDR employees? Will they roll into the Regions or just mass let go?
Lots of worry there for sure.

There is a separate work stream aimed at reducing total dealer count specifically among smaller dealers because Ford “calculates” the cost to service them exceeds the return from having them as dealers. While there are some surprisingly larger volume dealers in the SDR, the majority are smaller and this action is part of the larger plan to consolidate the SDR into the Regions. The existence of the SDR helped prop up Ford’s investment in the Ford/Teletech JV over the years. It’s likely for starters though that those SDR people calling dealers will stay on Percepta payroll as Ford will not be eager to increase its own headcount. Also they probably would not have to relocate at least initially but probably would have to eventually.
SDR is the Select Dealer Region. They manage over 1600 small dealers for Ford.
What is SDR?
We are treated pretty well in my opinion. I certainly have had no complaints working for Percepta in general. A lot of people in this area can't move so finding a job to replace this one is going to be painful for a lot of SDR folks if it closes and we are let go.
If your work for Percepta I would be looking for a job yesterday. Us low level Ford employees feel real bad on how you are treated.
Unfortunately most will be let go.
