Why you don’t receive continuous feedback

My team is fantastic. I would rank them all Outstanding. The reason I avoid giving feedback is I know I can’t get them all ranked outstanding. If you want continuous feedback during the year don’t ask your supervisor ask your KOs. If they tell you everything is perfect find different people. In truth much of the ranking has to do with your job assignment or if you were flagged as a HiPo early on. Being a HiPo is usually based on nepotism, right school, being tall, not being overweight, etc. as HiPos are identified early on before you’ve actually made any contributions. Lot of just d-mb luck involved. From there they weed out people each year. There are no ways to become a HiPo if you miss the initial selection. You need to be in Houston as only executives can flag someone a HiPo. How high you can place someone’s ultimate potential is based on your own CL as a nominator. Your first line supervisor can’t set your Potential. It starts at your one up manager. To be a true HiPo you need a high CL executive to notice you and take interest.

HiPo at any company is always about who likes you, nepotism, etc. The actual HiPo are never classified as HiPo, I usually see that the so called HiPo are some of the worst performing people that do very little or make constant mistakes.

Wow we have a supervisor playing the victim.

It is your fk obligation d-mb a$$ to provide feedback.

You are the reason so many people are quitting. You are the cause of low morale.

Why don't you climb to your ego and jump? Hopefully you don't survive and you will be improving morale.

Anyone else upset by these last two ‘supervisor’ OPs posting in ways that clearly show that they are shirking their Supervisor responsibilities? Op, if you want to be everyone’s friend, don’t be a supervisor. And saying you don’t provide relevant feedback to your employees is just annoying. I assume you sat in on their rank sessions? If so, you are probably the BEST person to explain their feedback and ranking.

And the potential system has changes recently, which is also something you should know AS A SUPERVISOR. And unlike the new assessment system, which seems to be struggling, there seems to be some good coming out of the changes to potential. At least you need to be a 5 yr employee before your potential is first assigned.

You can also be a hipo if you start at Fawley. Being Irish, Scottish origin or Cambridge educated is mandatory.

Continuous feedback in Annandale is non existent, KO doesn’t help with ranking, so corrupt , RE is the decisive factor….Darren has made the decision…be prepared
