Thread regarding Southwestern Energy Co. layoffs

I’m not gunna lie…

Best perk at Southwest …WFH. Some days, actually most days… I wake up and I leave my mouse moving and I do nothing all day. I used to work hard but I realized that not only was there no reward but actually observed and experienced first hand that it almost always leads to issues with other colleagues and managers. There are too many incompetent managers and people like CC and the two CG’s in charge so trying to do the right thing is like punching air. I take a page from our ol’ handy culture training and throw it all up to gravity... I stopped trying and did the bare minimum then I started getting positive feedback from my boss and I actually got promoted as soon as WFH started! You can’t make this sh@t up!

WFH is only for Directors and higher with last names beginning with Z. Any questions?

I am seeing mixed reviews of this company. Looking at putting in my resume for a job on Spring. The WFH has caught my eye. Can anyone tell me if the WFH is permanent or a pilot? My current employer has tried it and now rescinding it hence why I am looking.

Hey ya’ll. I’ll be WFH tomorrow as I have a much anticipated mod project for my Jeep. Putting on some new 18’s and some mud tires. Got the mouse mover software ready to go! Let’s Go Bill!

I learned this lesson years ago. Actually accomplishing something at most companies often requires pushing others to do their jobs, and it often makes other people very uncomfortable.

Often the ones that I have seen get ahead, did next to nothing. With no history, there was little of anything negative or positive tp say about these people and they would frequently move right up the ladder.

I suspect that the move to worked remote has played right into this making it even easier for people to do nothing.

Pump the brakes Jethro!! WFH. I am about to start as part of the new frac fleet. Read this board thinking about layoffs. Now read this and not so sure I want to be a part of a company that promotes WFH. More like What The Eff.
