I'm just checking to see if anyone has heard anything about cuts.
Our manager has been a bit more nervous than usual lately and the atmosphere is tense.

For those who questioned Optane people, why do you not think they can be trained for the new positions?
No people are cut from Optane team, my friend's team in Intel got 4 re-deployed engineers from Optane, positions are not that much but better than nothing.
@2ytu+1ifk3HyI -- Nobody will be laid-off from Optane team. Pat order is to absorb all employees within other groups even though skill do not match job requirements. So no cuts.
Optane group in Folsom were given until early Oct to find a job or they will be gone bye bye. 2,000 employees impacted.
There are rumors floating around. More solid than general speculation, but not super firm. Don’t be a low performer…
OP -- Dafuq Pat will not do any layoffs so sleep well.
One thing for certain will not be cut; the amount of useless management and overpaid vps.
Remaining second half will determine.
Heard lots of cuts. Cut here and cut there cut everywhere. Every company is and will be doing it.
