I'm not sure what records we broke, but saying we have record backlog is not a good thing because it means we can't deliver what we're selling and customers will go elsewhere.

You confuse revenue and bookings. Revenue wasn’t great, bookings were fantastic. The results are only worried about revenue, and that’s why the bonus is impacted. Part of the revenue miss is supply chain for sure, but also just the fact that revenue takes a while before it can be recognized.

How we can be happy with this as our bonuses are cut, given a measly increase while the company makes record profits?

It's shameful and to be a tech giant on top of it and pay the lowest of the tech companies.

While I'm glad that the stock has risen and the ELT has managed to polish a tu-d until it's nice and shiny, I still have problems drinking the cool aid that V2MOM is trying to sell.

Team -

By now you will have seen that Cisco beat expectations and broke several records as we closed the books on FY22. In the face of continued uncertainty, our results can be attributed to the fact that we have not wavered in our strategy or our purpose. Of particular note:
- Product orders were up 14%, with record demand and (record) backlog
- Bookings grew across all 3 Geos, 9 of 12 BEs, and 18 of our 20 theaters
- End-to-End Security Revenue in Q4 was also up 20% Y/Y

These are strong indicators that the evolution of our business model is yielding the predictability we expected. ONEx has played a key role in this performance, all while keeping Cisco connected, secure, and running smoothly. We also:

I'm not sure what records we broke, but saying we have record backlog is not a good thing because it means we can't deliver what we're selling and customers will go elsewhere. And Cisco just published on the Talos blog about a network breach due to some id--t who sync'd his Cisco password to his personal Chrome browser account which got hacked and allowed a hacker to get into Cisco's network. Cisco says no PII or company sensitive data was accessed, but that user got PWNED and Cisco lost thousands of people hours of productivity due to people being locked out of their laptops.

We didn't do that great if our company performance factor was 0.84 costing us 16% of our annual bonus.

Ugg.

Numbers were fudged. You really think we beat by .01, or better worded you really believe you can come on here and make us believe it kek

Revenue (including acquisitions) was flat for the year, the networking ('Secure Agile Networks') business was down 1% on the year, and Q4 orders were down 6% on last year.... So the numbers were poor - but since the market was expecting them to be worse, there was a positive reaction.

I note that in the year to June, Arista was up 48.7%, and Juniper was up 8%, so Cisco is still going backwards....

Yea results were marginal instead of terrible. Good for Cisco.

Your salary still sucks, your bonus still sucks, your raise is still gonna suck, you still have to worry about an LR and your CEO is still a slimy salesman.
