Parking Fee

Along with closing the Nature and Science buildings it’s rumored they are going to start charging for parking on campus. Where’s there is smoke there is fire.

Look people the campus is only has space for “x “ number. They will reduce head count until “x” number is reached even by charging for parking. Remember science class and the too many bunnies in the cage stuff. Again if your job can be contracted out or NRE or near the safe zone YOU need to make alternate career plans.

They charge for parking at many of our other locations. This wouldn’t be a surprise nor a precedent.

What a great way to encourage folks to work on campus instead of remotely!

They've been doing this in Canada since their campus was built (paid as a taxable "benefit"). Don't be so certain it won't come to Spring...

Welcome to the Real World folks, we've had to bring in our own toilet paper in the UK for the past 2 years!

You will be charged (to your WBS) to go to use the restroom and you will be paying overtime charges if you stay there for more than 3 minutes. Your supervisor will be automatically notified via email.

The new 'rent-a-desk' policies accompanying the new seating arrangements will be similar.
You'll use your ID badge (aka Debit Card) to secure a seat.
The desk chair will unlock for your use the entire day.
There will be an extra charge if you fail to re-secure the chair.
Also an extra debit for those who fail to re-secure before beginning usage the next day.
There's a Powerpoint developed to cover training for staff in Spring - possibly with video examples. About 30 minutes.

You'd think it's BS, but then realize the 401k match drop was linked first on here too. What a trash company
