The best people are leaving

Uncertainty and the general atmosphere only accelerated the departure of some of the best employees. This is what best describes the culture as it is now at Ford. What's worse, managers don't seem to care. How many of your colleagues have left lately? It is worrying how the company will look in the coming years.

What the heck is going on? How could comments from a family owned company be soooo negative?
Quality issues, constant recalls, cancelled affordable ice vehicles, move to EV's, diversity, wokeness, promoting the jab, outsourcing responsibilities: Design,build,&install.

This is not going to end well, Even Alan Mulally wasn't perfect but he was an........wait for it.......ENGINEER! A true leader needs to understand everything about the product and process, and be a people person operating under mutual respect and getting the best out of employees!!!!!

B i l l , stop worrying about your Great grandfathers past........he was human. Don't every cover up history......it is to be learned from.

Many younger employees are jumping ship. MS&S has lost a bunch of the type of talent that Ford has ostensibly been trying to recruit for the past 10-15 years. Nobody likes sitting on a powder keg.

Some of us with over 30 years have plenty of money, but enjoy what we do at work and also have a great work-life balance.

@OP. The best are leaving because it is easy to find another job for those with the right skills and the work ethic (that's what define them as best).

Managers @Ford never cared for the workers. Now even less, because half of the LLs are worried with losing their jobs, and the other half are very busy kissing @ss to keep their current positions.

I started interviewing a few weeks ago and a great company made me an offer. Today my wife and I agreed that I am leaving Ford. I have no idea why any engineer with skills stays at a Company that hates them. Good luck ... I'm out of here.....

We already left earlier this year… didn’t want to ….but how dare you threaten me daily with losing my job. They put so many non qualified people management positions the past few years. People that had talent were blocked left and right for laterals or promotions.

I am leaving ford in 2 weeks. Too much stress and politics. Worker bees are troubled by Slacker Bees.

Outside compensation is around 140k vs 92k here at Ford with benefits, bonus, vacation and overtime extra.

OP please pick your head up and try to see things in larger context. The Corporation cares not good worker/bad worker.
North American worker is too expensive and being replaced with cheaper foreign labor. This country is about to see a huge acceleration of this outsourcing as there is no one Washington to protect us anymore.
