I've been hearing a lot of my co-workers talk about agile garages and that they're in multiple lines of business. Does anyone know what they are? Seems that folks in these work groups seem pretty confident they're secure from a lot of the layoff noise, I'm in CIB tech fwiw.

Check your garage, that’s where the missing deposits went.
Ah more IBM processes. Anyone remember IBM's Method One? In a nutshell it's just iterative development with a garage instead of a parking lot. When launched they actually said one of the reasons was people not liking the word parking lot. Can you say Agile? Invent new terms for things being done already.

Spot on, they brought these dudes over from that group right before the whole sham interview news broke. This is gonna be the next news item and these fools are gonna skate as always.
It’s an IBM ripoff that gives the old white men a story to placate the plebes til they pull the rug out from under you. Look at the people leading it, they are all white. No joke.
It is where you take your Agile when it does not work they remove all the finite roles that don't scale, and they install waterfall.
A NEW Executive used the term......now it is prevalently used in this mocking jay culture. No one at WF has an original thought anymore.
It’s where you park your Tesla.
An "Agile Garage" is the term that replaces the phrase "Parking Lot".
In an effort to cut down on lengthy Agile meetings, people will often get sidetracked and will be asked "let's Parking Lot that", meaning "let's talk about it later, not here".
Problem is that somebody thought that "Parking Lot" didn't sound good. So they decided that "Agile Garage" would be a more trendy term.
That's all it is. Watch for the upcomng Dilbert cartoon on this one.
I know this one . This is one of MK’s coinage. He wanted to say Agile Charges ( acceleration). But he did not attend that part of the BCG briefing.
It is just something some doofus read in a magazine and wants to hire consultants loads of cash to half ar-e implement for their objectives.

Not sure, but Jay Leno is in charge.
This is a place to ‘park’ people before they get fired.
Uh OP, just curious...why didn't you ask them?
