Thread regarding Ford layoffs

Is everything looking like involuntary or is there still a chance for voluntaries?

If there is a chance, it still has to happen this month, in August or it will be getting too late.

There is still time and in fact such programs have been offered even later in the year in some of the years past.
Happening in time to take advantage of current interest rates?
That window is indeed closing and it would be unconscionable for the company to allow that opportunity to slip away from people.

Those who are adamant that there will be no voluntary program need to consider optics, PR, legalities, and precedent.

The company is also flush with cash at this time and their objectives of replacing current NA salaried with foreign cheaper labor drives everything. Few bucks hush/walking money well spent.

All we can do is wait.

Do the right thing Ford.

The 2020 voluntaries weren't offered until September. So, I would think that there is still time for offers this year.

Doubting it will be an option. Thinking they hope people flee if they’re already going. Nothing to pay.

Seriously, too late for a 2022 voluntary offering.
