Thread regarding Ford layoffs

Retirement Packages

Are they targeting the 30-35 year people? Any word on retirement incentives for these people?

@1wel+1ihOUTvc Not true I did not receive an offer in 2007 - was told skillset precluded offer. Did receive one 11 years later, go figure. Long believed it was more about age and salary.

not everyone received an offer in 2007. I had my “meeting” just like everyone else but was told I was not receiving an offer because of my skill set. I was also told not to share this as everyone was being told that all were receiving offers.

No packages for this group. Most will go on their own due to ~30% reduction in pension lump sum if working beyond November 30.

The Visteon spin was not considered a financial success for Ford. I would think Bill learned his lesson and won’t try that again.

This is Serious they might do something as bold as spin off entire divisions

Think visteon I can see spinning off the engine and trans divisions as there is nothing new in the pipeline
