Thread regarding Ford layoffs

You know you enjoyed the culture here. Loafers know what I say? Your time is up.

The supervisors cannot afford to lose their best employees. I hope they will give away the slackers this time. Once, you are relieved you have all day to go out and discuss about yard work, road trips, etc . Which you have been doing on company time. I pray this company becomes more efficient and cost effective after this round of layoffs.

Here is the problem. If you think pushing the last remaining Boomers, and much of the Gen Xers out, what you're left with is the entitled, "I don't want to work 40 hours for the man!" younger gens. This is the problem management has. Getting rid of the high performing, hardworking high performers leaves you with the "I never want to come into the office, and when I do I want to bring my dog in with me" people. As I said in the other post, you get what you pay for.

The true loafers are the LL5, LL4, LL3, LL2, LL1 who do nothing but "ME+" their bonuses by outsourcing our jobs to unskilled, unqualified workers in low cost countries. I have decided to leave Ford in October after 25 years, with over 10 TA's and take a job with a Company that does not hate people like me (OWM). Drop the mic I'm out of here :-)

Ah but middle management having failed for decades to right-size and weed out the incompetents, toadies and deadwood , have left senior leadership with the only option of off-shoring 90% of NA salaried jobs and canning the whole lot. Well done Ford middle management. Hopefully all of TSP LL3,LL4 and LL5 will be tossed out as well.

We have a LL6 who just manages the meeting. Does not add any technical input. He is from the same batch of the LL5.

Let's be realistic here. I want slackers thrown out as much as anyone. They drag down morale of the honest workers. They cause recalls and other drains on the company's finances. I could go on and on.

But we all know that they more than likely have the protections given by the friend and family plan. There are several (including LL6s) in my dept that fall in this category. Which is unfortunate for the company at large.

Haha yeah right.. op it’s all about pov. U might think one is a loafer but is actually a hard worker. Maybe you are one of the management class who practice the fine art of character as----------n behind an employees back..or one of the fellow Gsr who does that…that company is rampant with that behavior.

OP+1iiY0kPX you're a piece of trash. You're messing with people's lively hood here.
First off mo--n asks yourself why their workers have all of a sudden changed? I guess having promised benefits taken away over the years or the fact you may lose your job at any moment does not mean anything to an id--t like you. Some people because of things like a divorce just cannot pick up and leave. Since you sound like a know it all then why are you at Ford and not working at Space X? My daughter was offered a Job by Ford last year. My wife and me advised against it. Plus, she can see for herself this is not the same company I hired into. She instead took a job at AMAZON making 35$k more than what Ford offered her. Yes, she relocated but at least she has a fresh start. If I was coming out of school, I would not even entertain a career at Ford.
