Thread regarding Ford layoffs

Jim Farley addressing the awful dealership experience

I guess not everything is bad lol.

In an interview, JF has addressed the awful dealership experience people nowadays have to go through when they make the d-mb life mistake of purchasing a car of any kind. In case you have not bought a car in the last two or so years you may have missed that the dealer "experience" is so bad now that it's hard to even somewhat suffer through. It's not the old game, it has become absolute aggression, very open lying, complete intransparency, apparent false advertisement. Dealership nowadays operate well past the legal limit.

The youtube video below contains JF's statement at the beginning. The video then moves on talking about the dealer experience and why it cant be addressed easily.

If how Ford builds cars (recalls) is an indicator, why would anyone buy direct. If you build a POS, why would I trust you to fix it after a purchase.

Too many safer and reliable vehicle options to purchase beside Ford.

Ive worked at FMCC and FCSD, and this is not a revelation. We've known all along that the dealers were lying, thieving POS's that should be eliminated. Jac Nasser tried getting rid of them 20+ year ago and it backfired on him. I hope Jimmy succeeds but I am not optimistic.
