Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

Funny LI posts

Every time I see one of those LI posts where newbies express "immense pleasure that they got the chance to work here and how grateful they are for the opportunity", I don't know is it more sad or funny. I wonder how long that "pleasure" will last?

Fiserv isn't a bad stepping stone to better things for fresh grads, provided you don't waste more than 1 or 2 years here. The scary thing is as bad as Fiserv is, it's not even "that" bad compared to some other places. But that's setting the bar super low.

True story. I had a stranger/current Fiserv/non US based reach out to me over linkedin to ask why I left. I directed him to this blog.

Point being, i agree that a lot of people will see the craziness early on.
I don't expect their recent new hires to get many years of service awards.

That's funny, I just saw a post like this yesterday and had to double-check who this person was that they could be so naive. Once I saw that they were a fresh college grad, it made a lot more sense. I bet the honeymoon period will be short-lived for him.
