It is sad and counterproductive to team morale and productivity to have done this layoff as an involuntary process.
The company says that a core tenet is to Care for Others. Yet they choose to go the involuntary route.
Yes, voluntary separations take a little longer. And maybe the incentive would need to be sweetened to hit the targets. But wouldn’t it be worth it to keep team morale? Is this not valued in Ford+?
