For the first time I think that slackers are smart people.
What did my colleague get for subordinating his life to this company that got rid off him just like that? Ford seems to be "transforming" into a company where the best employees are no longer needed, and that is tragic.

I am a slacker. Not getting cut also got 40% pay increase. Its about the image.

There’s no such thing as salary job security but you’ll come closest to security at Ford by being a solid average employee. If you do poorly you might get cut. If you’re a rock star your salary will grow disproportionately to others and you’ll be cut.
He got a steady paycheck & good benefits. Yes I work for Ford and I'm nervous. But I'm not a lifer and I'm capable of surviving on my own.
