Thread regarding Ford layoffs

My 2 Cents (from a Ford Veteran)

I sailed off into the sunset at the end of the year last year, but I've been watching with a close eye what's going on. Now you could say I was a metrologist of sorts during my tenures. So I gotta say, the numbers don't add up. I put them into my spreadsheet sheet and we are still 5000 short. I think you boys are in trouble, more layoffs coming down the line. Take my 2 cents and just retire with dignity. It ain't worth it to stick it out. If I see Jim at the local Kroger, I'll give him an earful for y'all. Good luck.

You are still on active duty. Take your spread sheet and stick in your rear. The people laid off, and the ones remaining really give a whatever you think.

FCA went through major restructuring since merger with Puegot to become Stellantis and the FCA merger. They are much stronger with better management team along with stronger profits. GM, all in on electric but seem bloated. Money is on Stellantis as best automaker to see the least amount of cuts as they are already lean.

Other's at fellow automotive OEM's should be equally concerned. All economic indicators point towards automotive layoffs industry-wide.

:-) One of the LL3 showed up for a kayak tour I was helping out with. Thankfully he didn’t recognize me. He is still a total Richard. We had to get a sit on top kayak for him as he was too portly to fit in the kayak we had reserved for him, he lied about his weight on reservation form. He tried to force a portly female customer to swap kayaks with him. We had to intercede and tell him if he hadn’t trimmed 80 lbs off his weight then we would of had a sit in kayak for him to use. I was the sweeper so I got to listen to his complaints for two hours. It wasn’t the kayak’s fault, it was the paddlers.
If I would of known about the upcoming layoffs, I probably would of let him capsize and swim.
