Thread regarding Ford layoffs

Returning equipment?

Outside of a laptop, do you return the peripherals (headset, mouse, keyboard, etc.) you buy with points?

I want some bonus swag.

Go to a collaboration center. Pick out a chair. Walk out with it.

I called People First and they confirmed that you do not have to return any keyboards, mice, or headsets. I didn't ask about chairs.

Per the last post, I returned the computer, monitor, docking station, power cords and mouse. And phone separately. I didn't have a chair. Took it all to the FedEx in Plymouth with the forms filled out online. I wasn't the first Ford employee doing the transaction. They had actually run out of laptop boxes and it was only 10:30 this morning. I guess it was easier than driving down to Dearborn. The entire process was very cold after 26 years of service.

Henry Ford is looking down from above with disgust at what Billy has allowed Ford to turn into. I guess it's not Billy's fault he was not born to be a leader. You would think a guy who's been around as long as him would care more about a company where his name is on the side of every building.

"Must return all Ford issued PC and Apple devices (including iPads) along with power cables, docks and monitors."
No boxes or labels needed. Fedex will do it. Nothing about chairs...
For phone is a different Form, you will receive a label, just has to drop off at Fedex.
"Failure to return your equipment will result in forfeiture of your AICP/ FBR bonus."

I quit a month ago, so not the total same situation, but I still have not been contacted yet to return anything even though I’ve received all of my final payouts. At this point I may reflash the laptop with a clean windows install and sell the phone back online

Apologies might seems irrelevant but how can i get the chair? Are they still allowing people to get one?

When I was let go at the end of April, they only wanted the monitor, laptop and phone. The chair, cables, docking station, cords, mouse, keyboard, etc., are your parting gift for 35 years....

Usually the accessories are yours to keep, can’t count the amount of times I was told not to give back the power brick or any accessories when returning a laptop for renewal. Not sure about the chair though

You sure about not returning the monitors?

And have the replacement cost deducted from your last pay check. They'll scrap the stuff anyway, you are just doing them a big favor not returning things. And they make money for having you do it.
