Thread regarding Ford layoffs

Did anyone submit the waiver and release agreement already?

Do you know if both Global ID and GPID are required fields on this form?

Residuals determine the purchase price for management lease vehicles, just like always. The used car prices remain high for everyone. So in this particular case, the company isn't putting the screws to you.

Everything else about these cuts - yes, they are putting the screws to you.

Buying management lease vehicle is a RIP off. I have an 2020 Edge which is a management lease and has 27,000 miles. Sticker about 39,000, A-Plan about 36,500. They want 31,500 for this 2 year old FORD vehicle. They have jacked up the purchas price for management lease because of vehile shortage.

Yes. You can call the People Matters number provided in the email package and they can provide it. You can also contact a former co-worker and they can look it up in CDS. I also submitted mine as I want to buy my two management lease vehicles using the severance pay. Don't want to be shopping for two vehicles in this climate.

Anyone not signing the waiver and considering other actions?

Please note that severance pay is not compensation. It is a "valuable consideration" which is a component of all contracts and makes it enforceable. They are paying you to FOAD and not say a bad word about it. If you did they can come back and sue for return of that consideration. If it was compensation for work performed then they couldn't take it for you saying "mean things" in public.

Working on mine right now. Really not a fan of the 8th paragraph (where you basically have to bite your tongue on social media and not post anything "disparaging"). I'll still sign it, obviously, and send it in because I'd like there to be no delays with my compensation, but I'll have an attorney review it before the revocation period expires, just in case.

I had a friend pull mine before outlook locked up. I lost a few personal files and had to take pictures of them. I did give Verizon business lines a call and the were able to give me the info to port my cell phone number. Now I can call old friends and catch up.

Yes, I have submitted mine. It is fairly straight forward. You have to send it to two different Ford emails. I copied myself on the email.

Global ID and GPID are both required in addition to CDSID. I had to call the SIRP hotline to get my Global ID and GPID.
