@2yus+1inOStyV Speak for yourself. I don’t know what you do but I get recruiters reaching out all the time.

Zoom meetings all day everyday. XOM architects and advisors are not technically marketable outside of XOM.

OP Yep, it's what I do day in and day out. We work at an affiliate getting oil and gas into pipelines for sale. It's 24/7 job. Much of the money goes to Company overhead so people at EMHC can pretend they are doing serious work.

Yes meetings and lots, like I’m on a call already but then I have to drop cause I’m over booked. Then low ball projects to get in then my greatest trick. Recycle PDS moments . Pretty simple . See you at eval time.

@1gdc+1 you do that day-in and day-out ? Really? Why don't YOU look in the mirror ?

Joining meetings as many as I could, saying things in the meeting that do not have to be relevant, and being a gatekeeper to add more work for others. If I'm not pleased, they'll be stuck there forever.

OP - Since our supervisor and manager have no clue about the technical side of our group business, they rely on me to be the de facto technical manager while they take care of the administrative side and get all the credit. I'm still well taken care of. WTF do you do all day? Look in the mirror and let us know.

They ensure the company is not liable for the misdeeds of 'creators' or 'innovators'.
Believe it or not - in a commodified dividend world, these are the things that could lead to trouble. Serious monetary legal trouble.
But that's everywhere. Not just EM.
Most bigs learn to wear a codpiece.
And I'm proud to be a stitch in that.

Ya but those roles have one of the largest pay ranges that I have seen at EM. Depends on how much they value your counsel!!

In between giving my advice when approached (advising), I enjoy lying out on the quad, chasing butterflies by Wellness, and riding in the turnstiles.
