Thread regarding Ford layoffs

Management Lease Process

Through an existing employee, I heard Farley made mention in a video yesterday that they may be extending leases and/or making the process easier to purchase vehicles. Has anyone heard about this? Added to the job loss is the imminent loss of family vehicle(s) in a market where it is already difficult to get vehicles. Additionally, I can tell you that Ford does not appear to be honoring normal residual values and the buyback prices on the lease vehicles are the same or more than a vehicle out there today. They are asking top dollar for the lease vehicles.

Did you notice in separation agreement that those terminated get A-Plan benefits for THREE years??!!! Laying off individual s with little to no consideration, but they still want you to buy Ford vehicles!

A base mustang Mach e with 8000 miles on b plan offered at $48000, dealers are reselling similar at $44000

Might be worth investigating if the $4000 used EV tax rebate can be applied. Given the lack of vehicle availability, if you can afford it, it might be worth picking a vehicle like that up.

From business insider 2018… Field joined Tesla in 2013 and led production for the Model 3, which the company struggled to ramp up in the months after it was launched in July 2017. In May 2016, CEO Elon Musk said he estimated the company would make between 100,000 and 200,000 Model 3s during the second half of 2017. However, Tesla only made 2,685 Model 3 vehicles in 2017.

In early April, The Information released a report that claimed there was turmoil at the upper levels of Tesla's management team. The report said Musk had pushed aside Field to assume control of the Model 3 production process. …. Hmmmm. ..crystal ball tell me what is next

Yes the B-Plan prices are a joke. A clear play by management to recoup some of the severance costs.

And the extension Farley mentioned? Instead of having to turn it in on the last day of employment, you get to keep it at the same lease payment for a while extra month. 😂

I'm the meantime try to tell a dealership you want to buy or lease but you just lost your job.

The new Ford. Where we treat pretend family members like pretend family members.

In response to a previous comment.
The Mach E was not developed under Doug Field's watch. We will all see the quantum leap forward that Ford's next-gen EVs will bring under Doug's leadership. I cannot wait!

If we don't take the vehicles now, Ford knows we (and our families) will never buy one again.

Don’t get caught in a rollover, or hopefully you don’t have brake issues or suspension driveline cracking components or un intended acceleration or trains issues before 100k.

If it is an Expedition, isn't it great if the vehicle burns in a timely manner?

That's funny. I was forced out in 2018, luckily I was able to retire. You could not pay me to drive a F vehicle. Overpriced junk that is constantly recalled. I got rid of my final F in 2011.
