Goodbye Ford. I will miss some dear people that I worked with. There were good and bad moments here, but I don't want to despair for too long. Who intends to try finding a job in other industries?

God I don't miss Ford!
As crude as this sounds, everyone is a wh--e for a paycheck. When opportunity knocks, most will answer. Whether that's a repeat opportunity at Ford, contract, GM, FCA/Stellantis, Tier one or two, whatever it may be.
If you need a paycheck to make your bills, you will become as flexible as you need to be. It doesn't mean you have to like it, but at the end of the day, bills need to get paid.
I was let go during SRD. There were people who had become dear to me and I still see them regularly. They can fire you but they can’t take your friends.
