Waiver and Release Agreement - SIRP Benefit

For those of you over 40 and who still haven't signed but are planning to review with a lawyer, I want to share this. The "ADEA Group Information Notification - SIRP" itemizes those released/retained by age, SG, and classification.

I'm planning to tell who I consult the people I know of who were suddenly classified into HTHD, declassified from that designation, promoted, demoted, and especially transferred in and out. A lot of this may have happened in hopes of them getting their groupings just right prior to the mass firings. Also, it appears people were intentionally added or omitted to my sheet to probably to help their cause, as a number of them have very different skills, degrees, etc. I know the approximate age of my workmates and can back into it that way.

This person was let go in 2006. 51 years old and 27 years of service. Ford settled with him. It did not go to trial. He did okay. Got a job with another OEM afterwards.

The "ADEA Group Information Notification - SIRP" I was given, only shows 5 people on it. The two oldest were let go. The youngest 3 were kept. Is that statistical proof of age bias? I doubt it, although a good attorney MIGHT be able to convince a jury that is weak on math skills. FYI, Pitt Law has NOTHING on its website concerning THIS cut at Ford. I'm sure they are aware of it, being Michigan based. Since I live in Florida, a consultation is not practical. Probably I'll be forced to sign the forms. Need the 1 month severance and more importantly, the 3 months of continued insurance coverage. Ford has me over a barrel as they say. Also even if a lawsuit proceeds and wins, it would take years.

they use you and when they don not need you , they treat you like an enemy, it is enough for the big wheeler to make the big bucks, and for us to be laid off, I dont know what those CEO are bringing any value added to the company. too bad , you are just a number.
they said that they will help , what kind of help, they are full of cr-p, one month pay if you have under five years, and they will cut your insurance right away, go figure. they like to look good in front of the media but they are nothing but hungry monsters.

Pitt Law has handled numerous Ford (and other OEM) age bias lawsuits in the past.
