He is talking about lay offs, about involuntaries vs voluntaries, about this is the beginning of the change and more lay offs are coming down the line (no safety for anyone, that there is "ambiguity"... does he even know the meaning of this word?) and while all those gloom and doom topics, he is fu----g smiling!!! It is not a fu----g joke to leave people without a job. Is he enjoying this? Fu----g psychopath! Fu-k Farley! Fu-k Bill Ford! Fu-k the Ford family! Fu-k this fu----g company!

Saw a reflection of himself in the teleprompter.
He was thinking of Elon Musk. He reportedly was seeking to impress Elon Musk, whom he has an obsessive fixation with, by firing 3000 employees. This is very similar to the obsession John Hinckley had for actress Jodie Foster.
Ford has been schizophrenic with layoffs and hiring freezes since I’ve been working for them. Mulally had the Company pointed in the right direction but underlings Fields and Farley couldn’t wait for him to leave and screwed up everything. Hackett was worse than useless. All through this Bill Ford is the constant. If there is anyone who deserves to be let go it’s him, but that will never happen.

@dbl - I hope that as you go through life you personally "enjoy" the world you're advocating where businesses are free to disregard agreed upon benefits for workers and them getting the full measure of expected compensation.
Because as anyone who has interacted with him will tell you, Farley is painfully awkward with zero interpersonal skills.
I like what Ford is doing to secure a future without baggage. When I hear of 10,000 more cuts for white-collar, then I will buy more stock. Since when is a company supposed to be Family... You have been entitled for too long brothers and sisters.

There are some mentally unhealthy people who think others are motivated by fear and he’s smiling because he thinks the mention of more layoffs is motivating the workforce. As I learned in dog training classes, if you lead with fear don’t turn your back as that dog may bite you if it gets the chance. Most people are smarter than the average dog. Most, but not all.

For sure they just indirectly announced that next round of layoffs would be soon after they revisit the number of people per program.
I am leaving as soon as possible, can’t live with uncertainty.
