Thread regarding ExxonMobil Corp. layoffs

What is this about President sending emails about restaurants in Houston.

What’s the story?

@1kue+1ishMN5b approving meals is probably the most value add thing a VP does. I bet the limit has been $80 since 1975 as well. What a bunch of id--ts running this place.

Executives regularly spend hundreds of dollars on alcohol during a single meal. Pretty pathetic to continue to see so many examples of a double standard.

Before the global reorganization, the chemical company had a policy that if the cost per person including wine at any restaurant exceeded $80 USD per person for a non-Executive sponsored event, we had to elevate the group meal approval to an Executive Vice President.

It was a potential career limiting move to seek out the approval of any Exec. V.P. for a business group meal that exceeded $80 per person.
