Thread regarding T-Mobile layoffs

Nationwide Field and Switch Operations

Field and Switch operations will be hit this week; Thursday and Friday. They will be facing at least 25% cuts across the board. TMO will continue to phase out these positions with the addition of contractors and overseas workers.

I heard RNEO is done by this Friday. Then the next round is in early 2023 once all the field techs are done busting their butts and canceling their holiday PTO to meet EOY 2022 goals for the company that will lay them off next quarter.

I can assure you that FOPS and SWOPS were laid off on Tuesday. I watched the meetings happen. I also have many of friends in other markets that confirmed cuts in there markets as well. We were told that our market was done and the team that was on the market call was the team chosen to carry T-Mobile forward, with that said we were also told that due to scheduling it was possible that larger markets would continue today with cuts. Severance package seems pretty good for employees being cut and as someone who has been around for many years at T-Mobile, this isn’t a way to get rid of the Sprint employees as I know of both Sprint and T-Mobile employees being let go.

I heard they will be calling in people all week this week to get rid of you. They're getting rid of people with tenure who aren't close with the managers.

I was released today and asked to not say anything until Thursday. We will see if they are done.

10% reduction. The larger markets may have more to go, but they are done for most markets today. I doubt the contract stuff will happen like it did with Spri t because that was proven to be a terrible move with sites being down for weeks.

My source is my coworkers that are no longer employed, both field and switch and another announcement tomorrow. I don't care if you believe it or not.
