Thread regarding Cisco Systems Inc. layoffs

How do you manage to do all that work?

I have always tried to do my job as professionally as possible, but now it has simply become impossible. Of course, the manager is not very understanding when it comes to unrealistic expectations for one person to do so much work. I hope to leave here as soon as possible, although I am aware that the problem with overwhelming employees is not present only at Cisco. Some friends from competing companies are facing the same problem.

I think your mgr is fellow the protocol to let go aged G11, my mgr too !
We old guys survived from last ER/LR maybe targeted to get rid off without package.

Sounds like you aren't close to the Good ol' Boys club. Stock grants, pet projects, and promotions without deliverables.

The motto is authority without accountability in the Good ol' Boys club.

Your workload and salary is dependent on relationships at Cisco. How many relationships have you built with Sr. Directors or VPs? Sounds like none.

I'm Grade 11 and I don't have any relationships with my Sr. Director nor VP. In fact, I don't even know their names and so do they not know my name nor the names of my co-workers. As if my buddy Sr. Director or VP would tell my manager to reduce my work-load and ask my co-workers to reduce their pings shake head.

I read here so many stupid comments that I really wonder how you guys got hired. Cisco needs layoffs to undo wrong hiring decisions.
